Why is footy the "Beautiful game" ??

Here's why: Gretna booked their place in the Tennent's Scottish Cup final with a 3-0 win over Dundee at Hampden Park and yesterday, it has been confirmed they WILL have a UEFA cup spot next season because Hearts beat Hibs today.
Goals from Kenny Deuchar (45) Ryan McGuffie (penalty) and a late Barry Smith own goal were enough to give the Division Two champions a famous victory.
The stuff of dreams isn't it??
In June 2002 the club were successful at the third attempt of asking in gaining membership of the Scottish League.
Gretna finished 5th and 3rd respectively in their first two seasons in the Scottish League and have now been promoted to Division one.
Who at the club would have dreamt of this 10 years ago? Amazing stuff and this post is really to dedicate their amazing success, not suffered a relegation yet in Scotland!! well done to them.
Another point to note, is that their side had 8 scottish players and 3 English.... their success is based on homegrown nationality talent and NOT the "foreign influence" which all the big clubs in Scotland and England strive for. Hope they can put in a good performance on cup final day, because they deserve it.
